An authentic Irish tavern that opened in the middle of the 19th century. At one time Abraham Lincoln, Theodore Roosevelt and President Grant came here. The interior of the bar was seen in the movie “Once Upon a Time in America” and the walls are covered with artifacts. Hunter Thompson also liked to drink here, and the New York Rangers celebrated their Stanley Cup victory. Until 1970, women weren’t allowed in. Now there are many old-timers of New York City among the guests.
